The AShop Deluxe cart uses PHP scripts and a mySQL database. It also requires more advanced knowledge than simple shopping cart back-end content management options.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a search engine friendly cart where you can outright purchase the software and not be forced to purchase monthly hosting, this may be for you. Note that back-end management is handled with an plug-in add-on.

Overall

This is an appropriate choice for those want to install the software and work with it from there. There is no back-end system. It remains to be seen whether Ashop Commerce will be a competitive SEO shopping cart.
